Winter Concert Postponed
Hello Parents and Guardians,
The message below and the attached letter were sent out to all families on Fri. Dec. 12, 2025.
As of today, Monday, Dec. 15, our school remains in what AHS calls "respiratory illness outbreak" status.
In order to best keep families healthy (including grandmas and grandpas) and to allow the most students possible to participate, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Winter Concert (which was scheduled for Thurs. Dec. 18).
We want our students to have the opportunity to perform and we want you to have the chance to enjoy the joy of our school music program. As soon as a date is confirmed, we will let you know!
Thank you, as always, for your support.
Sincerely,
Laura Gale

-----------------------------------
Please take a moment to carefully read through the letter here from Alberta Health Services. Our school, among many others in the city, has been declared to be in a respiratory illness outbreak.
Respiratory illnesses include:
- Cold
- Flu
- Covid
- Chest infection
- Sinus infection
- Bronchitis
- Pneumonia
- Strep Throat
- RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus)
- Croup
AHS recommendation is that students who are ill should remain away from the school until all of the following are true:
- their symptoms have improved,
- they have been free of fever for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication,
- and they feel well enough to resume normal activities.
We appreciate your attention to this as we try our best to keep students, families, and staff healthy as we approach the winter break.
Take care,
Laura Gale
